In chapter 1, the significance and aim of the study are stated.  An effort is made to clarify authority in Christianity in chapter 2. Chapter 3 discusses the authority of the pastor in the church.  The authority of the pastor in the Korean church is dealt with in chapter 4.  The following chapters examine the authority of the pastor in the PCK by means of research and personal interviews (twelve hundred pastors and congregations are included).  In conclusion, in order to enjoy pastoral authority, pastors are to destroy authoritarian elements within the church, to develop partnership in God, Christ and the people of God, and enhance Charisma is defined as 'God's grace that motivates and enables Christians to minister in God's power'.  Romans 12:3-9 is the only list of 'spiritual gifts' that begins with the technical term Charismata. Distinction is made between 'offices' (Ephesians 4:11-12), 'manifestation of the Spirit' (1 Cor 12:7-11) and Charismata.  The hypothesis, 'as Christians learn what their spiritual gift is, they will be freed and equipped for ministry' is supported with surveys and interviews with 21 members of St John's Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles.  Common characteristics of the 'same gift' are incorporated into a questionnaire written to help other Christians discover their Charismata."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799717532224978944,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:19:47.269Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Chao-jen Lin","hits":1,"label":"Chao-jen Lin"},{"value":"Daniel Patrick McGeachy","hits":1,"label":"Daniel Patrick McGeachy"},{"value":"Donald Eugene Roulet","hits":1,"label":"Donald Eugene Roulet"},{"value":"Duck Jae Kim","hits":1,"label":"Duck Jae Kim"},{"value":"Ervin G Roorda","hits":1,"label":"Ervin G Roorda"},{"value":"Glen A Thorp","hits":1,"label":"Glen A Thorp"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Demonic","hits":1,"label":"Demonic"},{"value":"Presbyterian Church--Social teachings","hits":1,"label":"Presbyterian Church--Social teachings"},{"value":"Theology, Contextual","hits":1,"label":"Theology, Contextual"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Presbyterian Church","hits":13,"label":"Presbyterian Church"},{"value":"Congregations","hits":4,"label":"Congregations"},{"value":"Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","hits":3,"label":"Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity"},{"value":"Pastoral theology","hits":3,"label":"Pastoral theology"},{"value":"Clergy","hits":2,"label":"Clergy"},{"value":"Presbyterian Church of Korea","hits":2,"label":"Presbyterian Church of Korea"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":13,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":13,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":13,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1982","hits":4,"label":"1982"},{"value":"1990","hits":2,"label":"1990"},{"value":"1984","hits":1,"label":"1984"},{"value":"1986","hits":1,"label":"1986"},{"value":"1987","hits":1,"label":"1987"},{"value":"1989","hits":1,"label":"1989"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":13,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":13,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"San Francisco Theological Seminary","hits":13,"label":"San Francisco Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":13,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":2,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":2,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":13,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":false}}}
