Some leadership development principles are identified and applied in the ministry project. A Christian educational design for leadership development incorporating the use of small group experience is presented. Mesters offers a dialectic of Bible and life as two revelatory books written by God. The leader-training program emphasizes training, documentation and communication, art and poetry, and research. The program has three stages: grassroots ministry and institutional relations, integration with Nicaraguan and Latin American Bible Network, and reflective-critical evaluation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716651561648128,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:05:47.403Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:27:04Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:08:52Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"84c21e8b-829f-46c0-a6f7-17a1412099cf","accessControl_ssim":["666e61bd-45a2-4dd8-ab0e-e5d3d92d6d31"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Implications of increasing secularization for the mission and ministry of the Baptist churches in the Hunter region of N.S.W. The dissertation section of the study examines the Lukan perspective of Jesus' mission and ministry, the development of the Baptist movement with particular regard to the contribution by Spurgeon, Carey and Graham and the process of secularization with particular regard to the myth of the Australian secular society. The project section examines in detail the growth and decline of twenty Baptist churches in the urban environment of Australia's largest industrial city. The study revealed that personal religious belief in Australia remains strong but attachment to institutional religious bodies is in decline. Examination of the twenty Newcastle Baptist churches revealed that the majority of growth was borrowed from other churches with little evidence of growth as a result of mission activity. The study contains suggestions for churches experiencing both growth and decline."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["38714359-d032-4ed0-ae3f-cb82c8f65a92"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716846678573056,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:08:53.481Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:26:37Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:16:44Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d788c71a-5090-4a0d-a9d1-9e601cd57b18","accessControl_ssim":["979b4a77-1ce7-4991-b5ea-f6bc1c36727d"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Their stories, our stories: the use of biblical and contemporary women's stories to create a faith for today's struggles"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:26:36Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:17:41Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fea14dcb-0912-4fb2-8b98-b203c86ce9ae"],"hasLease_ssim":["68623c45-a7a6-4001-b6d8-182287c8a6a8"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Carol Bechtel-Reynolds"],"year_tesim":["1995"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Patrice S Bittner-Humphreys"],"publisher_tesim":["San Francisco Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Storytelling--Religious aspects--Christianity","Women--Religious life"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["We can help women name, nurture and validate their religious experience in group study with insights from women's spirituality, narrative theology, spiritual direction and feminist biblical interpretation.
