Post-evangelicalism is a response to the current shifts in thinking, particularly that of post-modernism. The author contends that the church is still locked into the literary-print era with sermons preached from prepared manuscripts. First person biblical preaching portrays the gospel in a visual format suited to the electronic multi-media culture of television and computers.
