This project gives churches a process whereby this can be successfully done.  A group of members from an area church was taught to utilize this plan within the context of their geographical church field of ministry.  They carried out the project that had children as its focus. The researcher gave an extensive biblical and theological rationale for the use of visual aids in teaching spiritual truth. He also provided significant scientific evidence for the importance of the visual sense in learning and retention. The project incorporated an 8-week sermon series and a focus group to measure the effectiveness of visual aids with regard to retention. The project researched the characteristics of the modern teenager and developed a model for expository preaching with teenagers. The author examined biblical texts that dealt with the issue or recruiting and developing teachers.  In addition, the author researched foundational material that highlighted sound teacher training strategies. New and current teachers were utilized to sit through the training material and then teach a series of lessons using the training they had recieved.  Learning style surveys and post-lesson interviews were used to discover the effectiveness of the training model.
