The research focuses on eight passages in 1-2 Corinthians where Paul speaks of his own suffering, determining how he suffered and how he responded to that suffering. Paul's responses are developed into 6 attitudes and 3 actions as the Christian's response to suffering. A Scale of Readiness was also developed to help identify the levels of readiness of the student prospects.  The project was used as a pilot project at the Arlington Chinese Baptist Church, co-sponsored by the Baptist General Convention of Texas.  Eleven chapters, an introductory session, and two assimilation sessions comprise the project material.  The chapters were written to address frequently asked questions among Chinese students. This pilot program seminar consisted of meeting surveyed needs of ministers through reading research, creating personal philosophies, and evaluation their personal programs.
