Chapter 1 describes the ministry context and challenges GCF has faced, while Chapter 2 provides a survey of literature on multi-site churches and ecclesiology. Chapter 3 establishes the theological and ecclesiological foundation of a New Testament church. It discusses the biblical basis of a multi-site church, the seven key theological concepts in the Old and New Testaments relevant to the life of a local church, and provides a biblical definition of the church. Chapter 1 introduces the contemporary Filipino small group, its problems, the proposed solution, and the anticipated results. Chapter 2 investigates relevant literature. Chapter 3 introduces the first century church, investigates and interprets the context of the Greco-Roman house churches, and integrates the concept of the New Testament house churches with their Greco-Roman context and the content of their practices. Chapter 4 introduces the concepts of the twenty-first century church and small group, investigates and interprets Filipino small groups, and integrates the content of New Testament church practices with contemporary small group theology. Chapter 5 presents the results on the New Testament house churches and their implications for Filipino small groups.
