The terms 'gospel,' 'kerugma,' and 'contextualization' will be defined and delineated. Examining Paul's sermons in Acts with those by the early Apostles (Acts 2:14-42; 3:12-26) a unified threefold rhetorical methods and message is discovered. This paper evaluates the renditions of Psalms 1 and 2, Timothy 2:17 in the GNB, NIV, NLT, NKJV, NASB, and ESV. The introduction determines the ministry need for such a project. Chapter 1 defines concepts and introduces the Pulpit Suitability test, the measure by which the sample passages are evaluated. Chapter 2 determines the substance, structure, and spirit of the sample passages. The remaining chapters assign a suitability value to each version.
