If preachers are to engage the message of scripture to postmodern people effectively, they will need to critically assess the mistakes made by the American pulpit in responding to the postmodern challenges and also evaluate the postmodern world from a biblical perspective. The study of these verbs enhances spiritual formation and teaching skills of Sunday school leaders. In fact, 2 Timothy has the highest percentage of imperatives in its first half than any other Pauline epistle. The author used traditional research methods. The dissertation will research the prevalence and scope of pastoral and pastoral spouse sexual misconduct and their acceptance of responsibility. The spiritual relationship with God in an adulterous relationship is examined. It demonstrated the need for theologically conservative women to write and teach other women how to study the Bible in a way faithful to principles of interpretation. The importance of authorial intent is emphasized rather than reader-centered approaches. The instruction of Paul in Titus 2:3-5 as applied to gender-specific hermeneutic suggests that offering women skills for interpretation envisions their unique learning styles and affirms Paul's instruction. Women should use hermeneutical principles of context, exegesis, theological analysis and genre applying these to use by women. Factors related to women teaching women include: intimacy, emotional connection, relationships, details, and the power of small group settings. question of how divorce (and remarriage) impacts one's qualifications for deaconate ministry in the local church and how consistently churches apply the standard they claim. Looking at text, tradition, and actual practice, the latter of which was gained through a survey of American Baptist pastors -- the writer evaluated approaches to this question, determining that inconsistency too often emerges in the context of application.
