In an evaluation following the seminar participants conclude that a hierarchical management style stifles and hinders full involvement and cooperation between leaders and followers; lack of involvement and ownership by followers is a major drawback of hierarchical management; withholding information and insisting that people do what has to be done without adequate explanation destroys motivation and renders people ineffective. This project assesses vital signs of effective multiple-staff ministries or church pastoral teams among Chinese churches in the United States. The project surveyed 30 such churches, selecting 10 for closer scrutiny.
