A review of recent literature reveals the evaluation of the Prayer Summit movement, city-wide crusades and other efforts to come together.  The acceptance of diversity and its relation to changes in our society is also discussed. Several key passages in the Bible are examined to determine the key principles for unity to occur among believers and the place diversity has in that experience.  A survey was conducted of pastors in the writer's local community to identify the current perspective of unity with diversity. Basic beliefs are delineated that are viewed as essential for unity as well as a clarification of the issues that are understood as acceptable areas of diversity in the Body of Christ. Since a satisfied volunteer remains in a given position longer than an unsatisisfied volunteer, specific methods for increasing personal fulfillment are applied.  In Section I, volunteers discover their TEAM--Temperament, Experiences, Abilities, and Motivators.  As the volunteer learns more about the person God has designed him to be, he can better understand the ministry God has designed him to do.  In Section II, the supervisor learns how a volunteer's ministry can be enhanced when he receives CARE from his ministry supervisor--Clarified expectations, Agreed upon objectives, Reviewed progress, and being Equipped for growth. In the final section, the supervisor is instructed to encourage his volunteers to GROW--Get to know God, Relate wisely to others, be Open to personal change, and be Willing to profit from problems. The project is designed to identify and use those marketing approaches which will be the most effective in attracting visitors to the First Baptist Church of Oceanside.  A secondary aim of this project is to create a resource which will assist other established, traditional churches in similar situations as they seek to effectively 'market' their ministry for the glory of God.  The reason why this project was undertaken is to focus and maximize the limited marketing resources, time and effort which the church has in order to increase the number of church visitors.  The church will then be able to witness from a position of strength as it specifically reaches out to those who by their presence indicate a spiritual receptivity. Five strategic marketing strategies are identified, tried and evaluated based upon a survey of 498 visitors over a 25 month period.  A statistical analysis is made comparing the relative effectiveness of each marketing strategy. This project explores the rationale and the biblical guidelines for the training of youth pastors.  It also presents a youth ministry concentration model designed for that purpose. Included is a study of the training of youth pastors in the Assemblies of God and more specifically at Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God.  Southeastern's prior effectiveness in preparing men and women to be youth pastors is evaluated through surveying alumni who graduated over a twelve-year period.  Others who are experienced in the field of youth ministry were asked to evaluate the youth ministry concentration model. Rooted in sound biblical theology and reality-tested common sense, this dissertation offers a bold new approach to telling time.  The delineation of two kinds of time and how to recognize each affords the reader an opportunity to break out of the mono-dimensional straight jacket of living by one kind of time.  The dissertation explores skills to make the most of significant time opportunities. The project describes the existing lay counseling program at Rolling Hills Covenant Church (Rolling Hills Estates, California) and evaluates the success of the program through the spiritual well-being scale, the counseling program training questionnaire, the target complaints worksheet, and the post-counseling questionnaire.  The study concluded with affirmative results to all the evaluation measures, reporting positive responses from the counselors trained and from the counselees who saw those counselors.  Recommendations were made for pastors to think relationally in their Bible teaching and training, and for professional Christian therapists to think biblically in their counseling.
