This assessment yielded data from which pastoral interventions were identified, compared and classified according to the similar use of signs and symbols in faith expression. The stated purpose of the project proposal was: to develop a ministry to families that will facilitate storytelling by families and individual family members.  The report describes how one congregation through a ministry of listening, assisted people in rediscovering and reclaiming their stories.  Leis, the author, assumes that the church has been called by God to be a seedbed and spawning ground for stories.
