Thenographic information concerning internal and external challenges was gained through questionnaires and interviews. This thesis-project employs proactive research methods to accomplish its objectives. Chapter one identifies the problem of not properly understanding the nature, place and role of Christian formation and describes the ministry context of Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church. Chapter two examines the biblical foundation for Christian formation and chapter three explores its theological framework.
