Study of mentoring practice, particularly as modeled by Jesus and Paul, revealed the biblical prominence of this leadership development approach. Educational literature review identified the best training principles and practices for adult learners, specifically church planters. Qualitative research interviews were conducted with seminary administrators, field mentors, and mentored seminarians now active in church planting. Field education documents from twelve evangelical seminaries were studied. A combination of quantitative and qualitative field research was conducted to achieve the goals of this project. The extension of adolescence has received much attention, and there are indicators delayed development of adolescents significantly affects society in a number of ways: families, economies, educational institutions, and local churches. Data was collected through surveys and interviews with emerging adults. The project was organized around the three major tasks of adulthood: establishing autonomy, developing community, discovering vocation. This project studied the participation in and satisfaction with The Moody Church for the various racial groups in congregation. Based upon the biblical foundation for racially diverse local churches, the goal of the project was to increase the involvement of racial minorities throughout the life of the church--including membership, service, and leadership. The research design included a congregational survey, focus group meetings, and the responses of church leadership. The author interviewed six leaders from each of five churches in Toronto, Canada, and observed two worship services of each church. Data presented and common themes were drawn out. Writers on the intercultural church postulate that leaders must intentionally lead a church to become intercultural. The author found that in four out of the five study churches the leaders did not intend their congregation to become intercultural. This project discovered and analyzed the potential for pastoral longevity in the Evangelical Free Church of America.  Advantages and disadvantages of both short-term and long-term pastorates were given.  The case was made biblically and practically for long-term pastorates.  EFCA pastors who had been in their churches ten years or longer were surveyed.  Longevity factors were then identified, corroborated, and analyzed.  Demographic factors concerning both pastors and their churches were included. With the goal of developing a ministry plan for Fellowship Church of Carol Stream, Illinois, a dozen nearby churches were examined for ministry effectiveness utilizing the collecting and analysis of anonymous congregational surveys.
