Using a combined approach that incorporated what was learned from a survey of pastors and what was learned from personal study, a three-month reading program was prepared. Four expository sermons were preached, utilizing what was gleaned from the reading program. Surveys were administered to six members of the researcher's parish after each preached sermon. It is my hope that through an evaluation of historical sources a preaching method will be developed which matches the Psalms as 'the history of every heart in which has burned the love of God.' This method will incorporate tools of modern exegesis and also add an emotional dimension which has remained underemphasized. To fulfill this purpose, this major project is focusing on how to preach expository preaching for the Korean church in the contemporary context. The author reviewed the preaching of Reverend HanHaum Oak, SeoTek Kim, and DongWon Lee through sermon books and internet broadcasting. Through this process, he pursued to develop more powerful and effective expository preaching in contemporary context of Korea. The preaching ministry is gifted by Jesus to accomplish three main goals: 1) works of service, 2) unity in the faith, and 3) knowledge of the Son of God (Eph 4:11-13). One strategy is intentionally to preach these long books in multiple series with significant calendar breaks.  This is motivated by a commitment to the inspiration, inerrancy, and authority of the Scriptures and to regularly preaching expositional series.  This project involved preaching Romans as a model of this non-sequential strategy.  In addition, twenty-six preaching pastors were surveyed and multiple group evaluations were held as Romans was preached.
