They have a compelling vision for the last days and the need for night and day prayer. The project sought to identify IHOP's biblical values and practicies, separate them from their culturally charismatic setting and successfully present them to a mixed group of charismatic and non-charismatic intercessors, evaluating their responses to the presented material. Material was developed to teach about spiritual formation. The first ten chapters of the book were developed into a ten-week group experience. Each week the participants read and meditated on the text, then discussed it through questions that were drafted by the author. The effectiveness of the ten-week series was measured by giving questionnaires at the beginning and end of the series. The goal of this study, which focused on the country of Portugal, was to discover how to make these transitions more viable. In order to achieve this, a qualitative methodology was designed which involved interviewing three individuals from each of five church plants who had observed such a transition over the previous five years. The primary goal of the study was to identify methods that are working to initiate and retain Chinese returnees in RFGs. Qualitative field research consisted of semi-structured interviews conducted in China with eighteen members of City A and City B RFGs. Therefore, this project tested the effectiveness of a church-based program created to convince Christian adults that the gospel is for them, bring clarity to their definition of the gospel, and teach them how the gospel functions to make them more like Christ. The program consisted of sermons, small group discussion and daily devotional reading. This project studied the participation in and satisfaction with The Moody Church for the various racial groups in congregation. Based upon the biblical foundation for racially diverse local churches, the goal of the project was to increase the involvement of racial minorities throughout the life of the church--including membership, service, and leadership. The research design included a congregational survey, focus group meetings, and the responses of church leadership. Relevant history is traced from the first through the twenty-first centuries. Core principles are presented such as the ultimate authorities, principles of interpretation, communication, contextualization, dialogue, diapraxis, and diplomacy. A Lutheran communicative contextualization process is introduced and emphasizes quad-cultural communication. The biblical basis for strategic planning, involvement of all God's people, and eight approaches in the literature is reviewed. The perspective of outsiders is assessed and interviews with Muslims provide insider perspectives.
