This is accomplished through a series of surveys that look at spiritual needs, feelings about worship, and suggestions from pastors.  An examination of the historical, sociological, and theological perspectives show that ours is an aging society and there are few resources and aids to meet the seniors' spiritual needs. Research was in libraries, seminars, workshops, continuing education, in-service training, and by observation and practice at various hospitals and medical centers.  A handbook resulted which enriched the understanding of spiritual life and ministry in-process.  Positive feedback, as well as constructive criticism, came from the participating volunteers.
