Based on research and interviews with 21 church leaders, the project recommends changes in fellowship, leadership, and evangelism. Churches should make formal efforts to integrate visitors and to reinforce personal and small-group evangelism with larger meetings. Reluctant native leaders need to become elders, and churches should hire native pastors part-time. A course of study was written to be taught in ten lessons covering the following subjects: the mandate to evangelize, memorization, personal testimony, gospel content, commitment, pre-evangelism, handling objections, and follow up.  An accompanying teacher's manual was provided.  Teaching methodology included the use of an overhead projector, role playing, lecture, discussion, and small group activities. This theology of petitionary prayer is then applied to the ministry of preaching, using Paul's letters to Timothy as foundational teaching concerning the will of God in relation to preaching.
