This purpose was achieved by developing three key phases of: preparation, connecting and equipping. To provide one such tool the author researched the relevant biblical and contemporary literature.  All viewpoints were considered and allowed to contribute to the project when judged to have biblical bases.  Once the research phase was completed, the materials were assembled into a seminar format.  The principles of adult education were followed and the project was field tested in a local congregation. I drafted a theology of spiritual gifts and a philosophy of ministry regarding spiritual gifts.  I guided the church leadership in drafting an official church position regarding the operation of spiritual gifts within the congregation.  In addition, job descriptions were drafted.  A series of sermons was designed to assist the church in understanding spiritual gifts and discovering gifts each possessed.
