An analysis of a survey indicates that a layman will hear about two and three-tenths messages on the Tabernacle in ten years.  A clear definitive understanding and use of Biblical typology is needed.  This is met through an exegetical analysis of the New Testament passages where a type is used in a hermeneutical sense.  From this study a definition of biblical typology is formulated. The impact of the diorama is assessed where possible and various future uses are outlined. This thesis was tested through a survey of 106 international students at the University of Texas.  Survey items were drawn from writings by authorities from each of the major religions on the subject of prayer.  Buddhist, Catholic, and Hindu students conformed to official profiles for less than one-third of the measured items, suggesting greater religious independence. Processes using small groups and congregational meetings were used to move the church through mission clarification, congregational assessment and goal setting.  A study was done of the compatibility of these methods with the fundamentalist Baptist theology of the church.
