The objective was to develop a deeper personal relationship with God and one another by becoming more attentive to God. The team was guided through one action research cycle using the spiritual practices of silence and solitude, reflection and journaling, prayer and Lectio Divina for twenty weeks. Data was gathered through written narratives and group interviews and analyzed by qualitative methods. The research indicated that through intentional fostering of individual intimacy with God, an ardent team emerged to corporately provide more discerning spiritual leadership. The Missional Change Model (MCM), developed by Alan Roxburgh and Fred Romanuk (2006), was used as a guide to that process. The MCM is designed to assist a congregation in implementing change. To determine missional readiness at Victoria United, congregational 360 and pastor/leader 360 assessments were completed. The implementation of the MCM occurred over an eight month period. Motivation was based on God's value for marriage in contrast to the alarming divorce rate in Canada. Through the engagement and analysis of a test group a model was developed. After research and creation, the course of study was taught over the course of one academic year. It was then evaluated for its evangelical orientation and relevance by a panel of educators and students. This project tested whether the curriculum developed could meet the OME's requirements for a course of study, be endorsed by an expert panel of Christian educators from Ontario and be found to be engaging and beneficial to a cross-section of high school students. It is nurtured through accountable relationships, good communication, awareness and understanding of re-entry stress, and the ability to manage change. A survey of a Mennonite German-speaking short-term mission program generated an important insight: Mennonite-Anabaptist core beliefs and practices can be a key factor in both teaching and action related to successful re-entry. The survey was conducted as an Appreciative Inquiry. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were used to interpret data. He enlisted two groups of participants in two cycles Action Research receiving feedback and input as the book was being written. He designed a Spiritual Assessment Questionnaire to assess thirty-eight categories of discipleship prior to and after the study. The results indicated a statistically significant increase in the level of theological grounding, of discipleship practices and improvements in the quality of the participants' soul life with God. Is discipleship unique activities or is it better to view it as an integration of activities? This project looked at the impact of an 8-month integrated discipleship initiative following the pedagogical framework of service learning. Five disciplines were cycled through on a monthly basis. The initiative demonstrated significant formational impact as the various activities intersected each other. A Church 360 survey was used to decipher the congregation's perception of their current missional posture. Then, focus groups were conducted to mine out missional narratives from the church's past. Finally, missional experiments were conducted throughout the community. The survey results indicated that people's understanding of their involvement in the mission of God was not uniform. A qualitative research methodology was utilized to field-test an integrated approach to prayer and planning in three different settings. The research indicates that the adoption of interweaving, inclusive and incarnational approaches to missional direction-setting, with emphasis on Scripture-focused listening prayer, can help churches and organizations overcome the divide between 'spiritual' and 'worldly' practices that often hampers planning efforts, and also cultivate learning communities that seek to follow God's direction into God's
