The hypothesis was that a multifaceted revelational homiletic model combining gift awareness and a personal invitation would affect lay activity levels in the local church positively. A spiritual gift inventory, three sermons, and organizational invitations tested this hypothesis. Change was measured quantitatively through a pre/post test and qualitatively through the interview process. Sinai Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The research methodology was qualitative in design and consisted of a pre and post test to determine improvement of spiritual hearing. The approach was phenomenological and the following instruments were used: Spiritual Evaluation, Sermon Evaluations, and Post Test Interview Questionnaire.
