The problem that the project addresses is the challenge of introducing and using media in the life and ministry of all churches, regardless of the demographics of the congregation in relation to size, age or even financial status. The objective of the project is to show media as a means of grace to be used in the life of all churches, to give examples of its use, and to make the medium holy. When the technology of media is introduced (prevenience), explained and exemplified (justification), enabling all persons to find value in its use to proclaim the gospel, making it holy in the eyes of the local congregation (sanctification), another means of grace is recognized in the 21st century church's mission efforts. The project used a series of sessions in a workshop setting to introduce, instruct, and evaluate the use of media in the church life."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791130250342563840,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:28:37.090Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:34:06Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:22:14Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d9b8c840-dd3a-42d8-a872-922cc8cfa148","accessControl_ssim":["308148e6-479b-479b-9553-1c3dda741be5"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Compassionate supportive care for the trauma victim's families: implementing the ministry-of-excellence model as an example"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:34:05Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:21:16Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["a69b3629-3b91-4dc7-8829-d21cad56a355"],"hasLease_ssim":["8029b64a-ef78-4672-9520-c808f24a46f5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert C Walker","Linda E Thomas"],"year_tesim":["2005"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Margie Dell Warden"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church work with families","Physician and patient","Health care teams","Wounds and injuries"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The ministry model provided a supportive environment for trauma victims' families by providing liaisons between the healthcare team and families. A qualitative approach using participatory observation, surveys, journaling, and spiritual formation lessons and activities was utilized. The author pretested, interviewed 'shadows' from four generations, who listened to three sermons on tape designed specifically for them. A post test was given to measure any change.
