The hypothesis is that empathy, justice-mindedness, and humility, partnership with the Godhead, and koinonia, are the prescription for resuscitating and healing a church that has been traumatized. A qualitative methodology was employed utilizing surveys, interviews, and observations. Study data supports the conclusion that a demonstration of empathy, justice-mindedness, and humility is essential to healing a wounded congregation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129000714698752,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:08:45.352Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:39:47Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:51:51Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3195fa24-bd48-4a3b-b27e-ca75c10c3dcd","accessControl_ssim":["ba7c11a2-de8d-4348-a91f-1336d7cdf616"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The process and intentionality of Pauline leadership development in Bible churches of greater Houston"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:39:42Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:34:35Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["fcc62303-7a02-482b-abc4-a88e35576c43"],"hasLease_ssim":["f61d04ee-4117-461e-9a03-5b06dcdd1cf3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Roy M King"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Greg P Despres"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Intentionality (Philosophy)","Paul, Saint, Apostle--Literary activity","Timothy, Saint"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["Leaders are necessary for ministry to happen inside and outside of the Church. Each session included prayer, worship, lecture, discussion, and reflective journaling. Interviews, surveys, field notes, and journaling validated the qualitative case studies.
