Members of the congregations were surveyed following six sermons on Romans 12 and five sermons on Old Testament heroes. Additionally, participants attended a two-day retreat and completed pre- and post- surveys. The results of the survey confirmed that daily worship should be a prerequisite to church leadership. Jackson, or prophetic, as was that of Dr. Martain Luther King, Jr. The creation of an effective church in its fullness is, of course, a long-term assessment. This project promotes a public health approach to the treatment of substance abuse by treating the family rather than the individual. Five sessions using an impromptu skit and four didactic sessions educated the abusers about the roles family members play in dysfunctional families. Sermons and a survey drafted by the researcher served as the basis for determining their fulfillment level. Employing the qualitative surveys and questionnaires, they were able to express their fulfillment levels. Consequently, the study revealed that the majority expressed fulfillment in their respective roles. The problem that the project addresses is the challenge of introducing and using media in the life and ministry of all churches, regardless of the demographics of the congregation in relation to size, age or even financial status. The objective of the project is to show media as a means of grace to be used in the life of all churches, to give examples of its use, and to make the medium holy. When the technology of media is introduced (prevenience), explained and exemplified (justification), enabling all persons to find value in its use to proclaim the gospel, making it holy in the eyes of the local congregation (sanctification), another means of grace is recognized in the 21st century church's mission efforts. The hypothesis is that if persons could participate in a collaborative affordable housing pre-readiness program, eligibility for housing opportunities would improve and the church would become more effective in its mission to empower the community. A qualitative and quantitative research methodology was used with the congregation, community residents and community leaders to identify and measure barriers. The interviews, workshops, classes and forums addressed the issues that hindered eligibility with community agencies. The project focus was to develop a collaborative model on how to educate the community on the illnesses and symptoms associated with homelessness when internal church conflicts erupt. The mixed methodology was used to obtain the results through pre-test, post-test, questionnaires, personal interviews, and a focus group. The findings suggested that most participants did respond to being educated on the illnesses associated with homelessness.
