The shadow is an in-divisible part of becoming a whole person. In light of Jung's view that there is no wholeness without shadow, Paul's owning of the shadow reveals a crucial movement of becoming a mature Christian. Paul's ultimate mission goal is to be transformed into the image of Christ (2 Cor. 3:18), and Rom. 7:14-25 is an example of the ongoing dynamic journey of integrating the shadow and Christ in the transformation process."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129317026037760,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:13:47.010Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:08:42Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:47:36Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"19dbaced-cd84-4a17-a781-7b311d10b393","accessControl_ssim":["1cfd1850-c1b3-42e1-9116-e9b002d8bfdc"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Women and Jesus, women and Paul"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T01:08:41Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:53:28Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["331f5e44-d511-4b72-b5b0-919662828478"],"hasLease_ssim":["38d5d601-70b9-4179-ba14-8e3a9e540359"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Marion L Soards"],"year_tesim":["1989"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Claire Reidell Korte"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Bible--Criticism, interpretation","Christian education of adults","Women and religion"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project deals with a course developed and taught for the Lay Pastoral Ministry Program of the Athenaeum of Ohio. The course, entitled, 'Women and Jesus, Women and Paul,' is an attempt, using the historical-critical method of biblical scholarship, to trace the growth of misogynism, both biblical and societal, from its origin in Greek philosophy, to its culmination in the pastoral epistles. In the process, the example and teachings of Jesus are studied, as well as the writings of the Pauline corpus, both authentic and pseudo. The content of the research is extensively detailed, and the method of instruction outlined and discussed. The process is an attempt to minister through the teaching of both men and women in their search for biblical truth as it relates to male/female sexual roles in church and society."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127673646350336,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:47:39.761Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:02:22Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:06:11Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"82b56e20-bb68-4c9e-b904-c0475e30ec7f","accessControl_ssim":["aa7ffeb7-f118-4df5-8c18-b63ffcbcc3a7"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Show me Jesus! a study of the Gospels for new Christians"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:02:21Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:59:13Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2732cf79-39cf-4d01-8844-d50d722896c8"],"hasLease_ssim":["489a2c56-a6ae-4119-bd2d-a2f7a0dadbd3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Molly Longstreth","Jay B McDaniel"],"year_tesim":["2000"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jerry Addison Jackson"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Bible. The eight-week Bible study on the Gospels was developed with context associates and employed by new Christians. Both groups took tests before and after the study to determine the study's effects on their biblical understanding and faith. A third group took the tests but not the study.
