The small group model includes both a didactic and a creative writing component. The adolescents, in addition to being very expressive about sexuality, gained understanding about the Bible and about sexuality. Recognizing the faith needs of families with young children, five congregations in Naples, Florida, formed a consortium to develop and implement a collaboratively designed project, utilizing pre- and post-testing to determine attitudinal changes regarding preschool ministry as an avenue to community evangelism. Palliative care was given to grieving children by an interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, teachers, and chaplain. Adults and children shared their work of play, while naming fears. HospiceKidsCare became a procedural study to assess children's grief. The study incorporates adult processes of assessment, treatment, and evaluation in parallel to child processes of naming, playing, and healing during a death experience.
