The results showed that a majority of the participants registered healthier vital signs at the end of the study, and one hundred percent of the participants expressed a higher level of faith and personal well-being."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127502397112321,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:44:56.445Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:50:07Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:21:13Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d568cc8f-4138-4b4d-a6ce-476f2b9f54d6","accessControl_ssim":["c791d218-4fdd-4f4f-b996-b0e9a3e7a0af"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Cross roads: a faith based support group to supplement medical treatments for pain management for patients with sickle cell disease"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T20:50:06Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:13:56Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["a99e6a9d-94c8-4015-93c2-743a626226d4"],"hasLease_ssim":["1cacb67d-413a-4144-9a18-7e6646623867"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Gale Poindexter","Urias H Beverly"],"year_tesim":["2000"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Estee M McClendon"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Religion","Health","Sick--Religious life","Worship--Study and teaching"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The objective was to determine the effects of religious worship on pain levels in persons with sickle cell disease.  A worship-centered, sickle cell pain intervention support group was developed, implemented and evaluated for six weeks.  Subjects were their won control group.  Using a 0-10 Numeric Pain Inventory Scale (NPIS) subjects measured personal pre- and post-intervention pain levels.  Analysis of NPIS data on both first and last visits showed subjects' pain levels significantly reduced following interventions.  Summary and analysis of patients' comments corroborated and strengthened the analytical results.  Sickle cell patients reported lower pain levels following the Cross Roads model intervention."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129787945713664,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:21:16.113Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Resource Type"},{"name":"creator_sim","items":[{"value":"Edwin Harvey Hamilton","hits":1,"label":"Edwin Harvey Hamilton"},{"value":"Estee M McClendon","hits":1,"label":"Estee M McClendon"},{"value":"Gale Kennebrew Poindexter","hits":1,"label":"Gale Kennebrew Poindexter"},{"value":"Gertie Loretta Hurley","hits":1,"label":"Gertie Loretta Hurley"},{"value":"Hansel Harrison Henry","hits":1,"label":"Hansel Harrison Henry"},{"value":"Philip D DeMore","hits":1,"label":"Philip D DeMore"}],"label":"Creator Sim"},{"name":"contributor_sim","items":[],"label":"Contributor"},{"name":"keyword_sim","items":[{"value":"Church and community","hits":1,"label":"Church and community"},{"value":"University of Michigan--Department of Family Practice","hits":1,"label":"University of Michigan--Department of Family Practice"}],"label":"Keyword"},{"name":"subject_sim","items":[{"value":"Health","hits":8,"label":"Health"},{"value":"Religion","hits":7,"label":"Religion"},{"value":"African American churches","hits":1,"label":"African American churches"},{"value":"African American women","hits":1,"label":"African American women"},{"value":"African Americans","hits":1,"label":"African Americans"},{"value":"Church management","hits":1,"label":"Church management"}],"label":"Subject"},{"name":"location_sim","items":[{"value":"Illinois--Chicago","hits":1,"label":"Illinois--Chicago"}],"label":"Location"},{"name":"language_sim","items":[{"value":"English","hits":8,"label":"English"}],"label":"Language"},{"name":"publisher_sim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary (OH)","hits":8,"label":"United Theological Seminary (OH)"}],"label":"Publisher"},{"name":"date_created_sim","items":[],"label":"Date Created"},{"name":"types_sim","items":[{"value":"Text","hits":8,"label":"Text"}],"label":"Type"},{"name":"year_sim","items":[{"value":"1997","hits":2,"label":"1997"},{"value":"1982","hits":1,"label":"1982"},{"value":"1991","hits":1,"label":"1991"},{"value":"1996","hits":1,"label":"1996"},{"value":"2000","hits":1,"label":"2000"},{"value":"2001","hits":1,"label":"2001"}],"label":"Year"},{"name":"format_sim","items":[],"label":"Format"},{"name":"member_of_collections_ssim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":8,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Collections"},{"name":"degree_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":8,"label":"Unknown"}],"label":"Degree"},{"name":"discipline_sim","items":[],"label":"Discipline"},{"name":"degree_granting_institution_sim","items":[{"value":"United Theological Seminary","hits":8,"label":"United Theological Seminary"}],"label":"Degree Granting Institution"},{"name":"department_sim","items":[],"label":"Department"},{"name":"funder_name_sim","items":[],"label":"Funder Name"},{"name":"event_title_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Title"},{"name":"event_date_sim","items":[],"label":"Event Date"},{"name":"institution_sim","items":[{"value":"Atla RIM","hits":8,"label":"Atla RIM"}],"label":"Host Institution"}],"pages":{"current_page":1,"next_page":null,"prev_page":null,"total_pages":1,"limit_value":10,"offset_value":0,"total_count":8,"first_page?":true,"last_page?":true}}}
