Process thought and personal experience become the tools to affirm the sacredness of the human body as a holy, valuing presence.  This ministerial project includes an initial workshop designed to enhance individuals' appreciation of their biological, psychological and religious aspects in relation to their total environment.  One instrument assesses body appreciation before the workshop, another afterwards. Although no change can be demonstrated, a high degree of participant satisfaction emerges.  The document details both theology and methods. A lay and clergy pilot group of some fifteen persons (Methodists and others) prepared themselves for such union by concentrating on five areas of study: the nature of the church, evangelism, the place of women in the church, music, and the origins of the three black Methodist denominations. The intention of this program was that accountability to discipleship can be responsibly addressed within the pluralistic context of First Baptist Church, Dayton, Ohio, a downtown church. This program was implemented by developing an 'Adult Discipleship Plan' for the church; offering small discipleship bi-weekly groups for nine months, one overnight retreat, and a training event for church decision-makers; and relating worship themes. The author, in cooperation with a team of associates, established a purpose for the television ministry, evaluated feedback about it and helped shape the program accordingly.  Research included viewer surveys, theological reflection and evaluation by the associates.
