This model helps congregations determine whether a pedagogical or andragogical approach to teaching and learning is the most appropriate for that particular context.  Eight chapters focus on key areas of the teaching/learning experience.  A theoretical consideration of each topic is offered, as well as a practical teaching/learning strategy that can be utilized within teacher training sessions. More specifically, a covenant-based spirituality model was implemented in the organizational life of the First United Methodist Church in Tecumseh, Nebraska, with each of the committees, councils, and boards participating in the process.  A pre- and post-project questionnaire was designed and conducted to measure the impact of the covenant-based spirituality model on individuals, committees, and the congregation.  In addition, a questionnaire was provided to those who were directly involved in the implementation of the covenant process. Leadership teams who use this workbook take four natural steps in creating ministries to active members, inactive members, and active non-members.  This process, when used in the Peterstown United Methodist Church, resulted in a caring ministry which produced an increase in worship attendance, membership, and Sunday school. In becoming a church for the unchurched, the church moves from separation to restoration, from incarceration to incarnation, from toleration to invitation, from isolation to identification, from alienation to participation, from assimilation to motivation, and from procrastination to transformation.  The biblical foundations, plans, and practices lead the church forward in the journey. Following this journey at the United Methodist Temple Church in Clarksburg, West Virginia, worship has grown by fifty per cent and of new members received over half are new Christians.  Eight new ministries have been formed. Factors that discouraged pastors from being evaluated were discovered and addressed.  The report outlines problems affecting pastoral evaluation and describes a process that allayed pastors' concerns about evaluation.  Methodology included surveys, interviews, and the involvement of pastors, laypeople, and church administrators in developing an evaluation process and instruments.
