The project was conducted at the North Piedmont Correctional Facility for Men and Women, a medium security facility, with only one chaplain serving both the men's and women's units. M. E. Church, Yellow Springs, Ohio.  Through the use of sermons, Bible Studies, workshops, and music appreciation seminars, data was gathered and studied.  Included in this study was a six-month series of church music appreciation courses that was mandatory for all musicians, choir members, worship leaders, and ministers.  It was evaluated through a pre-course and post-course survey. The findings proved this ministry is needed in the context and transferable to the general church. Three sessions on these subjects were designed by the pastor and presented to the church board. Five related sessions were presented to the congregation. The findings revealed that board and congregation were distrustful and non-supportive of each other. One congregant even challenged the board and pastor openly at the close of session four. Clergy crises in this project are defined as the various personal or ministry related problems that hinder clergy from being successful in reaching their career and family goals. Examples of such crises include ministry burnout, stress, marital discord, and spiritual weariness Surveys were distributed to 510 ministers in Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia to discover the most common crises and support resources among Virginia's ministers. The same survey was distributed to 50 ministers from the Roanoke Valley Ministers' Conference. A Series of five clergy support discussions were held during the conference's monthly meetings to address the most prevailing clergy crises. The model utilized a sermon series and small group Bible study to increase the congregation's ability to perform long-term visioning. Consequences of the qualitative analysis indicated the intervention resulted in increased awareness of vision, related to spiritual calling in the lives of the small group and the congregation.
