So long life is not a blessing any more. Rather it becomes a cause of suffering to a lot of the aged. In this sense, aging is not received positively. Among various problems in aging society, this thesis dealt with how to overcome the aged's alienation which was brought about by the loss of their roles in society and even in the church. And this thesis conducted a project to help them to recover their self confidence. This project conducted by recruiting 20 people among the aged who participated in the seminar for the aged, 'Beautiful Life.' They were composed of 10 men and 10 women. The project was planed of the service education for four weeks and the service practice for two weeks. And to see how they changed between before and after the project, this thesis surveyed them by several questions. Analyzing the survey, we could find that service was a good way to overcome the aged's alienation by the loss of their roles. The author combined series of sermons with small group activity for death preparatory education. With the sermons on the theme of good death, the study utilized the death preparatory theory of Alfons Deeken as contents of small group programs. The author designed the program for the elderly church members and conducted with class meetings. The Korean church needs new pastoral care and methods for elderly parishioners. The author insisted that the serious problems of aging must be solved in a family. For the project he selected six families whose grown-up children lived away from parents. Participants took some educational programs and the author sent pictures and video clips of them to their children by email. The author created and tested four sessions of an arts and theology resource with an older adult ministry in a local church. The sessions centered on art, poetry, games, and drama and concluded with evaluative surveys from participants. Additionally, three participants completed an arts interview and the Daily Spiritual Experiences Scale. The ethnographic research method was used to study the control population at a retirement center to observe the participants and the way they were affected by the prayer device, qualitatively and quantitatively, as appropriate to their ability. Beginning with a theological and historical look at aging, the project/thesis analyzes the relationship of Asbury to the church, a working paper which was presented to the board, and the design of a model of integration that is grounded in Asbury's statement of mission. I proposed to lead an already existing women's Bible study in a 15-week study to find out. The images used were derived from the book, The Divine Feminine: The Biblical Imagery of God as Female by Virginia Ramey Mollenkott. The biblical part of the study itself was preceded by a three-week discussion on faith journeys and current images of God. The actual Bible study itself took twelve weeks and each session was taped. The class completed an evaluation form immediately following the study, as well as a follow-up questionnaire one year later.
