Some are involved in music department ensembles which require their participation, several are over-involved in leadership activities, and others have rigorous majors. These student leaders need at least two formational realities: a spiritual formation model that does not add another layer of activity to their already hectic lives, and an intentional formational relationship with a pastoral educator-mentor who can help them engage in meaningful practices of Christian spiritual formation and deepen their skills in worship leadership. Distinctive pilot groups allowed the author to research, investigate, and delineate ideas and models for intentional formation mentoring. He examined biblical texts and early church writings to illustrate hospitality as an experience of grace. Because of his Katrina experience, both people and pastor re-learned that hospitality was a necessary practice in the faith community. Using the Wesley Foundation at UNC Chapel Hill and nearby University United Methodist Church, the author examined the history of campus ministry in this setting and researched the theology of mission and the United Methodist connection. It is a ministerial tool used to address the lack of Bible study curriculum for college and university students.  The theological framework is provided by validating the ecclesial nature of campus ministry, which is the context for the ministerial tool, and by examining the role of biblical narrative.  The linkage to story is done by examining some different contexts in which story plays a role.  This served to develop paradigms for the Bible studies.
