It is important to provide a relevant equipping program to transform the young-old from retiree to an active servant of God, thus to live their life fruitfully and meaningfully and accomplish the task given by God which serves to bless the middle old and old-old generation. This paper focuses on two main areas: the transformation principles through the study of the life of Moses from shepherd of the flock to the leader of the Israelite crowd, and a study of the equipping program of the Golden Army of Heaven (GAOH) and modifications of it to suit the Singapore context. The author coached five pastors to discover an existing need within the communities they serve.  She showed how a particular skill set can turn around a local church in a weakened state of decline. Ten husbands of female pastors in the House of God Church were identified to define their role as the 'first gentleman.' The methodology was approached from a pastoral counselor's perspective. Strategies of brief counseling theory (Stone, 2001) were used to develop survey and interview questions for the participants. She created, facilitated, and participated in hands-on arts experiences for large and small groups of all ages. Each experience was designed to help the congregation get to know her, as the new pastor, and for her to come to know them. Conversely, an effectively managed pastoral persona can actually aid in the communication of a message.  This project explores the issue and offers strategies for effectively managing pastoral persona.  The project surveys scholarship on the subject of rhetoric, a study of celebrity preachers, and the results of two focus groups held to explore issues of pastoral persona with mid career pastors and with seminary students.
