The Prevenient, Justifying, and Sanctifying Grace of God calls humans into relationship with God. The practice of the spiritual disciplines is our response in faith to God's grace. Routine spiritual practice develops Christian discipleship and builds leadership. The curriculum was taught in two seven-week sessions, also taught as a weekend retreat, and the participants completed a pilgrimage to Mt. Angel Benedictine Abbey, Mt. Angel, OR to finish their spiritual experience. My goal in this dissertation is to explore how sincerely and eagerly John Wesley pursued the holiness of heart and life, throughout his life journey. The major academic background is John Wesley's social holiness. The purpose of this thesis is to apply John Wesley's social holiness to young adult groups. The practice of this project was performed in the Chuncheon Central Methodist Church in Korea. The author has been trying several things - sermons, offerings, service club (Dream Tree), and summer Bible school for children with his young adult group. The author found new possibilities for the transformation of Korean churches by means of the social holiness movement which John Wesley and the early Methodists began. The author examined the meaning and importance of volunteer works from the Bible and history. In addition, the author studied John Wesley's movement of revival and his practice of love, and discussed the influence on personal and social holiness through it. Next, the author practiced a project called 'Diakonia Training School' for five weeks for ten members of Beautiful Church. All of the participants experienced many changes in their personal faith and the community of faith through the training. The use of art proved to be a useful tool in integrating the concept of grace to participants' personal experiences of faith. Using the Wesleyan quadrilateral to structure a theological foundation, the author argued that engagement in such concerns is essential to both. The author presented a project that provides one way to link the works of mercy to a congregation's understanding of its Christian identity and practice. The author completed the project by interviewing congregants who were engaged in the project.
