The dissertation is written as a narrative to help inform the validity of the overall project findings."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799714765845561344,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:35:49.044Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:16:15Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:07:21Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"e05ccf91-1f17-4374-994e-0f1001a05c0e","accessControl_ssim":["59c974b4-3830-4cc4-a35a-f5691610a497"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The genre of testimony in the scriptures"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:16:14Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:33:23Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2607c1be-098a-403b-813f-94be893884af"],"hasLease_ssim":["9c0b5b20-f4c0-4c65-90e9-650c6e211a62"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["D William Faupel"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. Personal testimonies realistically depict our everyday life and are at the core of who we are as Christians. In sharing our testimony of what God has done for us in a corporate worship service, we create the space for authentic God-talk to take place among Christians. The basic hypothesis is that since the advent of the megachurch, the small Black churches have followed the trend and exchanged the mid-week testimony and Bible study service for the 'pastor's Bible study.' In losing the testimony service, members lost the vehicle to share their stories and experiences of the Holy Spirit and how they have overcome in difficult situations. The author conducted seven weeks of workshops to educate members on testimony, narrative theology and hospitality, scheduled a week for members to share personal testimonies and listen as an act of love, and administered pre-surveys and post-surveys."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720526140145664,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:07:22.489Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:16:13Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:29:23Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d2468b60-9971-453f-8423-967d5426ebfe","accessControl_ssim":["d1568035-d01e-4742-b830-9220d0356b79"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Singing the Lord's new song: transforming worship from performance to experience"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:16:08Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:08:27Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7fd45540-e9b1-4cfc-947f-e2a2e8c3280a"],"hasLease_ssim":["e3f10c03-8d86-43a4-81e2-29024231b919"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Eileen Guenther"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. Prior to my arrival as Director of Music in July of 2006, worship was characterized by a strong sense of 'performance' of the spoken word and musical liturgy. As we welcome new members and continue to seek ways to live out our covenant to honor and celebrate people of all races, cultures, ages, abilities, sexual orientations and gender identities, our worship must also reflect this acknowledgment of diversity in our community, and must inform our shared experience of the divine in all of our lives. This project and paper detail the beginning of this transformation in our particular faith community."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799721911679188992,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:29:23.842Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:15:45Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:41:47Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"55031ae2-090e-47fc-ac8f-fd6079ba8bae","accessControl_ssim":["a5157acc-48cd-4e02-a2c4-3c3eafc5629e"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A study on empowering lay leaders through the church educational training program to change ministerial paradigm of Korean churches"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:15:43Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T00:37:26Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["3dc8a747-0da5-4d7c-b14a-5438e7619eec"],"hasLease_ssim":["444a7ebd-81f9-42db-a23a-59e399886f07"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lewis A Parks"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"location_tesim":["Korea"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. It is a very important question to Korean churches, because Korean churches have usually been led by a pastoral group. Another impact on the churches is servant leadership. Servant leadership is very close to the image of the pastor in Korean culture. The ministry paradigm is transferring from a vertical and hierarchical structure of ministry to a horizontal structure including the laity. Based on educational programs with servant leadership, this paper explores how the church educational programs work to change the paradigm of ministry."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799718918311378944,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:41:49.144Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"D.Min.
