The Internet fellowship shared prayer, Bible reading, homilies, confession, intercession, and personal triumphs and defeats. The group split into two about halfway through its ten-year existence, but the successor groups care about one another and share the on-line culture described above. Is this a church in cyberspace? The author tests the shape and interactions of the Internet group against several definitions of church and concludes that while they are not an Internet church, the groups serve their members as do pietistic groups, such as Wesleyan societies, within the larger church. Many good and varied ministries were taking place, but none were connected with each other, and most were not based upon the vision of the annual conference. The author needed to find a way to network leaders, ministries and local churches. The bishop and extended cabinet determined that the Leadership3 Incubator process was to be implemented as a spiritual and leadership development tool. The author was invited to participate in an incubator with the bishop and his appointive cabinet. Part of that process was to create a ministry action plan appropriate for the author's work. She decided to develop a cohesive Connectional Ministries Council by leading an incubator group with the executive team, the connectional ministries conference staff, the conference lay leader, a district superintendent and the bishop's administrative assistant. This project paper rehearses the connecting lessons from the past, especially from the early days of John Wesley, and offers ways to adapt them for current times. As a result, the church is faced with spiritual stagnation that keeps it from growing. The church has tried in vain to employ various programs to get over this. Based on the pastoral analysis that the dullness of the class meeting is attributed to the lack of spirit and performance of the class leaders, this paper explores the ten components of servant leadership as a way of restoring the roles of the class leader and activating the function of the class meeting. A training tool for the class leaders is presented."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799721229102350336,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:18:32.886Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:03:22Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:29:04Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"05e50476-f1de-4956-8e8c-bd52efcf2b66","accessControl_ssim":["d20aac36-2e41-4f3e-a292-9a2ba0259cac"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Not purely decorative: keeping the thread of the arts integral to the fabric of the private and professional life of the clergy-artist"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:03:21Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:17:20Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["2ba82285-bbe6-43a0-9615-3bfb6a5ef851"],"hasLease_ssim":["1505bf2f-d782-44d4-9e56-343e4025a861"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Deborah Sokolove"],"year_tesim":["2009"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. It demonstrates how to develop the mission for grade five and six children who have never attended church. The team has practiced in a playground where moral and religious education have taken place every Saturday and Sunday. Through this program, they formed a community and became evangelized. The sports mission also aims to help the children become responsible individuals. It is designed with careful consideration of every stage of the children's development with regard to Erikson's educational theory. The mission also aims to evangelize the parents through the children. Regarding Johan Huizinga's idea and argument on 'homo ludens,' this project attempts to contribute to the discussion on 'play theology' which is mainly being led by Jürgen Moltmann, Harvey Cox, and David L. Miller. The project is also a follow-up of how the children form a relationship with the church and start to have faith in their life through the training."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716833950957568,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:08:41.343Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"D.Min.
