The project employed four key groups including a Rediscovering Your Spiritual Gifts class, Search Groups in preparation for a 'Weekend of Discovery,' a 'Weekend of Discovery' renewal program, and a Disciple Bible Study.  The project conducted interviews with 34 church members using 21 questions. Within the context of the priesthood-of-the-believer doctrine, this means that, as priests who share in the privileges of righteousness because of our relationship to Christ, Christians must incorporate the commensurate responsibilities for faithful living and service.  A local church educator should provide a Christian education plan that fosters faith maturity and is indigenous to resources, holistic in strategy, and balanced in scope. A four-week series of sermons and complimentary workshops were were presented to leavers (teenagers) and launchers (parents).  Evaluation forms indicated that both groups grew psychologically and theologically. The Arts Festival at Foundry United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia, provides an occasion for enriching experiences in these areas. The project found that the root cause of problems involving 'crack' cocaine probably stems from economic inequality and the USA's unwillingness to promote fair employment treatment for all citizens. Interdiction by law enforcement agencies and community-based street patrols are among the failed efforts to eradicate the problem.  Successful resolutions can occur by using biblical teachings, and through supporting and encouraging courageous mothers and parents who rear their children to understand the importance of respect for authority and love for God, for self, and for others. When a group of laypersons participated in an educational project on worship, the group developed an increased understanding of the meaning, purpose, and practice of worship. They learned tools necessary to develop creative liturgies, and used these tools to participate with clergy and staff in planning and carrying out liturgy for corporate worship. This project suggests a better understanding of ministry and church office, educational programs, and important implications that are necessary for the Korean Church to activate lay ministry. The practice of confirmation in a local church provided the setting for the project, conducted over a 13-week period with persons between adolescence and adulthood.
