The method of research adopted for this product was mainly ethnography.  The writer depended on personal interviews, self-administered questionnaires, and participant observation.  The research has shown that there were good elements in the pre-Christian culture of this tribal people which need to be revitalized. Part of the reason for this is that evangelists trying to reach this group have not taken the time to discover much about the religious context of these young people.  The purpose of this book is to inform Westerners and Russians trained by Westerners regarding the spiritual experiences described by young Russian converts within their churches and organizations.  The book presents the central religious beliefs, understanding, attitudes and behaviors that formed the background of the young Russians prior to hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ.  In addition, it allows young Russians to describe their own experiences of the evangelistic process and to explain their experience of conversion as they understand it. Schwarz reportedly conducted the most comprehensive church growth study ever with a scope that was drawn from more than one thousand churches in thirty-two countries on all five continents.  The research results confirm that healthy churches are growing churches.  To understand this new concept of church growth, the objectives of this thesis are: (1) to study the concept of natural church development; (2) to search for the biblical and theological basis of this concept; (3) to develop a mature concept that incorporates responses from some Christian leaders; (4) to discuss the major points of each quality characteristic; and (5) to create a relevant training program for natural church development. This product will be basically divided into two main parts: in part one, we will first study the history, concepts and principles of church growth, as well as church health. We will then turn to study the new concept of natural church development as developed by Christian Schwarz.  In part two, we will concentrate on the eight quality characteristics that are the essences of natural church development.  Other than these two main parts, in the appendix A and B, we will attempt to create a relevant training program for healthy church development, including a student's guide and a teacher's guide. No doubt some of these are intentional, but some may be unintentional, yet nevertheless unethical.  A biblical model of persuasion is presented as an ethical code for the pulpit.  Emphasis lies upon examples found in NT preaching.
