Data for this analysis were collected from archival sources such as libraries, online journals, and interviews with proponents of ethnohermeneutics. Relevant literature was reviewed from a multi-disciplinary as well as global perspective. This qualitative dissertation utilizes interdisciplinary archival research integrating theology, history of mission in the Middle East, diaspora studies, and anthropology to assess the role of relational networks in sending exogenous missionaries through diaspora ministries to Muslims. Arab culture operates on a web of formal and informal relational networks. A qualitative research methodology was employed to study the characteristics, causes, and cures of nominality in the African Church. Chapter one is on biblical pattern of missions demonstrated by Jesus.  The second is on the beginning and expansion of mission.  It zeroes in on the Sudan Interior Mission and its church denomination, the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA).  Chapter three is a report on the research, and four on training to cure nominality.  Chapter five discusses the content of training and six on the strategy of implementation.  The final chapter is on evaluation of training. Administered by a denomination, the process helps clarify the group's agenda and thrust, further tightening loyalty to the association of churches.  The foundational basis for the mentoring is drawn from Scripture as well as related literature.  An approach is drawn and a mentor agenda is suggested with themes drawn from a survey of ministers as to which topics need emphasizing and suitable for mentoring moments. Building on Old Testament precedents for the Lord's supper--focusing on Abraham's meal with the Lord and the OT sacrificial system--the project turns to accounts of the last supper in the synoptic gospels, the meal and discourse in John 6, and Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians. These texts inform the subsequent history of the Lord's supper and its interpreters.
