The three areas of study were: 1) 'Developing Guidelines for the Preacher's View of His Role in the Pulpit'; 2) 'An Analysis of Three Dominant Preaching Styles Found in Western Culture'; and 3) 'Alan Monroe's Motivated Sequence as a Preaching Paradigm'.  This study used the quasi-experimental method of research with a randomized control group pre-test and post-test design.
