A paradigm was formulated by integrating socio-cultural characteristics of Korean diaspora church and framework of culturally-appropriate, theologically-sound and theoretically-coherent missional ecclesiology for Korean diaspora. Eight criteria of missional ecclesiology were identified, and three ontological values were identified: to be sent by the Triune God; to represent the reign of God in the through Jesus Christ; and to be led by the Holy Spirit. A non-formal lay leadership training program can be implemented to provide adequate training to believers to become more mature and equipped for lay leadership to serve in the local church. It is concluded that The New Life Training Curriculums (NLTC) can be a great tool to use as the non-formal lay leadership training program. The most effective approach to reach the Vietnamese diaspora has shown to be through human relationship. Even though the material content is the same, the implementation of this training in each country must be well thought out with planning and many prayers to help reach out to the new immigrants in their midst and continue the process of discipleship and equipping believers to become leaders."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Western Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["910240dd-6bfb-49cb-ab06-1b8de036aac8"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132036707123200,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:57:00.700Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:47:03Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:09:30Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"df579afc-7047-42a0-bc24-5f0bdee2d653","accessControl_ssim":["b2f6a20a-eb6e-4c79-a56d-2881d9303818"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Towards a missiological theology of partnership in Christian missions in a creative access region"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T13:47:03Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:31:42Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["06895ec7-f3d0-43cf-94d6-293eecabf9ca"],"hasLease_ssim":["57b23d0b-af9b-4c63-9277-32c6bb0264d7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Western Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Enoch Wan"],"year_tesim":["2010"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Kevin Perry Penman"],"publisher_tesim":["Western Seminary (Portland, OR)"],"subject_tesim":["Partnership","Christianity","Missions--Theory","God--History of doctrines","Church--History of doctrines","Missions"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This study was motivated out of a desire to explore the theological issues that undergird partnership in missions today. The study used an integrated approach, combining archival and survey methods. Five theoogical issues are explored as they inform partnership. They are the Trinity, the purpose of God (missio Dei), the body of Christ, the gifts of the Spirit, and the church -- both local and universal. A survey was used to have attendees of the CAR Consultation reflect on these theological issues in the context of partnership. By so doing he aims a proposing a new paradigm for mission policies. Focusing on the Korean Presbyterian Church, the primary objectives were : 1) to shed new light on the historical roots of world missions in the Korean church and weigh the biblical and theological basis of missions in the Korean church; 2) to compare various mission policies of denominational mission boards and agencies, then propose new policy directions; 3) to set the future task of the Korean missions as a 'peace mission' building a unified national church in preparation for the ultimate unification of the two Koreas; 4) to submit a new mission policy paradigm for the Korean church in the 21st century and prepare for shifts in world affairs. These should lead to a more accurate assessment of the current state of Korean missions and to propose practical solutions for minimizing its weakness as well as maximizing its strengths."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Western Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["910240dd-6bfb-49cb-ab06-1b8de036aac8"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131724515639296,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:52:02.971Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:01:29Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:58:59Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6703f84c-1da0-464c-9974-e5be0fef2141","accessControl_ssim":["c4258871-57fc-4204-a95c-e59644757808"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Sociocultural strategies of indigenous evangelism and church building among preindustrial people groups"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T12:01:28Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:08:34Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["01b6f35a-272f-4a8f-82db-253e8ecfd25b"],"hasLease_ssim":["62c786de-c990-4242-a72b-65a9e6fd634d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Western Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Mikel Neumann"],"year_tesim":["2002"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["D Bruce Fivecoat"],"publisher_tesim":["Western Seminary (Portland, OR)"],"subject_tesim":["Christianity and culture","Developing countries","Missions--Theory","Missions"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["People everywhere are creatures of their culture.
