The most prominent finding of the project showed the desire of participants to be equipped to serve in ministry. The discovery of how to serve with purpose and effectiveness came as participants sought to grow as disciples of Christ through learning about themselves and applying various personal attributes in a ministry setting."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Ashland Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["beb93775-0b27-4cc6-9fb0-f2ad62e68517"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131548717678592,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:49:15.317Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:39:16Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:26:28Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"6e39dec2-3dde-4bb3-9616-6cd06a1e247b","accessControl_ssim":["d4e9e63a-cc55-45e7-8f93-ff3dbc856911"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Lay leadership development based on a theology of shared power"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T15:39:13Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:22:03Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["4ac82828-2959-4f00-b3a1-1b2e926fe0cf"],"hasLease_ssim":["e19e947a-7376-45a9-8403-f2291d766d87"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Lovett H Weems"],"year_tesim":["2013"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. A spiritual-ministries view identifying charismata as ministry roles was developed. The researcher concluded that spiritual gifts are roles Christians are called to fill; natural talents (identified through StrengthsFinder personality assessment) are critical factors in filling those roles. Spiritual strengths occur as natural talents are applied to spiritual gifts. In May 2010, the congregation took the Gallup ME25 survey. Case studies were conducted on churches that had made similar efforts. A resurvey in November 2011 occurred following efforts to focus on people's strengths. Meaningful increases were found on multiple items with many increased responses.
