Eighteen male volunteers of diverse national and personal backgrounds were surveyed and a number of others referred to concerning the long-term effects of their own abortion experience, most of which were negative.  The author argues against elective abortion as public policy and personal choice on religious, medical, and social grounds.  The foundation is laid for the development of an approach to biblical counseling of post-abortion males and for the training of counselors. Chapters 2-4 report the psychological, sociological, and theological needs of individuals who have experienced the crisis of terminal illness, rape, or abortion, respectively.
