The context was the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky. Two sermons and two workshops were developed to enhance the inclusiveness of new and existing members into the working ministry of the congregation. The learning was supported with scripture and methods of organization for leadership and membership responsibilities. One of these ministries that the church is called to do is prison ministry. It is my wish to see the ministry of taking the Word of God to the prison system as a mandatory ministry of the church especially in the African American church. This ministry of the Word of God in the prisons must be in a pre- and post-ministry.
