The model is drawn from the interrelatedness and interpenetration of the three divine persons of the Godhead and the Church’s reality within that relationship. It sets forth a theology that is relational, and allows for a Christology, pneumatology and ecclesiology that is expressed in praxis. It is relational and missional in its outcome and situates a primordial understanding of the Church as an ontological and organic reality. The Church’s behavior, that is, its work, worship, and mission is influenced by its own perception of self. In other words, the way we perceive ourselves as the church will be reflected in the way we do church and the way we are the church in the world, not just as institution, but as being; having its life, essential nature and personality inherent in the triune God of grace."],"license_tesim":["https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/"],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Pittsburgh Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31bd5819-b5a3-4928-96d5-b581f38b637b"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791127663501377536,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:47:30.086Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:27:55Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:46:47Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"79e06025-7ac6-4e84-b23b-d80b187d62c0","accessControl_ssim":["8e53e1df-da3c-44de-8275-baa2de771fdf"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The proper of application of expositional sermons preached at Second Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina addressing the challenges of African American women of multiple generations, will lead to spiritual growth and changed lives"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T16:27:54Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:43:37Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["d8230f72-d19c-4bad-977a-cd7a87889418"],"hasLease_ssim":["a823a72b-c872-4795-aa7b-937b9be79c3b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Rodney Cooper"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Ralph M McCormick"],"publisher_tesim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["African American churches","Preaching--Study and teaching"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["I believe that expository preaching will change the lives of women when properly applied. Personal testimonies realistically depict our everyday life and are at the core of who we are as Christians. In sharing our testimony of what God has done for us in a corporate worship service, we create the space for authentic God-talk to take place among Christians. The basic hypothesis is that since the advent of the megachurch, the small Black churches have followed the trend and exchanged the mid-week testimony and Bible study service for the 'pastor's Bible study.' In losing the testimony service, members lost the vehicle to share their stories and experiences of the Holy Spirit and how they have overcome in difficult situations. The author conducted seven weeks of workshops to educate members on testimony, narrative theology and hospitality, scheduled a week for members to share personal testimonies and listen as an act of love, and administered pre-surveys and post-surveys."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799720526140145664,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T03:07:22.489Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:12:40Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:05:20Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"b0ddcf8d-b17f-468a-b1b2-6e08817b8f12","accessControl_ssim":["a35b5733-eeb2-49ac-953b-6e83b9bed9ea"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["An investigation into the funding of African-American church plants in the South Carolina Southern Baptist Convention"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:12:39Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:14:14Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["ddbc53f3-62e1-4f83-bfb1-cec62c832406"],"hasLease_ssim":["bf21edea-c905-40a9-82c4-d5bae80a49d9"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Columbia Biblical Seminary and School of Missions"],"advisor_tesim":["John D Harvey"],"year_tesim":["2011"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Andre Maurice Rogers"],"keyword_tesim":["Relation (Theology)"],"publisher_tesim":["Columbia Biblical Seminary and School of Missions"],"subject_tesim":["South Carolina Baptist Convention","Race relations","African American churches","Southern Baptist Convention","Finance","Baptists","Church development, New","Church finance"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This dissertation's focus explores the funding of African-American church plants within the South Carolina Southern Baptist Convention.
