In this project, movies have helped African American clergywomen explore and deconstruct these messages. The Midwife Leadership Style created a participant-centered environment where women became free to share even as they would if they were gathered around a kitchen table. Within the project, movies were used to stimulate dialogue and as a disseminator of educational content. It was my finding that women were able to learn to identify these messages and to gain skills that enable them to develop healthy responses. A brief comprehension of AAP-A clergy couples' uniqueness is presented. Spiritual formation, conservatism, and expressive love are matters of concern for AAP-A clergy couples facing marital anxiety. The biblical theme of expressive love is the framework for understanding the personhood in need and key to marital health. Family systems theories support biblical principles to formulate a counseling approach that elucidates expressive love. Its purpose is to explore the cause and effect of pastoral burnout in the black Baptist church of the New Era State Baptist Convention of Georgia. It gathers questionnaire data from pastors within the state convention. The data collected and analyzed confirms discovery of the cause and effect for the state convention.
