Dr. Frank A. Thomas' interpretation of the traditional African American sermon structure--Situation, Complication, Resolution and Celebration--challenges the preacher and listeners to address the feelings as well as the meaning imbedded in the scriptures. This style of preaching invites both speaker and hearer to revisit their past emotional experiences as well as their present beliefs.
