The goal was to increase the imagination for visioning a new life in the Mid-Ohio District of the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Representatives of thirty-nine small churches participated in workshops and developed an appreciative inquiry process that they used in their churches. This narrative study tells the story of the work of a visioning ministry group in the days prior to and during the 2006 Synod. Both the analysis of the humanistic principles and a presentation of the new biblical principles are taught to the elders of the Okotoks Evangelical Free Church within a training seminar in biblically based AI. Practical hands-on training in the formal AI process is also included.
