It addresses the persistent reluctance of Vietnamese Church leaders to confront this issue, a reluctance often rooted in cultural, systemic, and theological barriers. Drawing upon interdisciplinary research in sociology, psychology, and trauma studies, alongside a re-examination of Catholic theological foundations on human dignity and marital equality, this work proposes and evaluates a Prophetic Pastoral Narrative Preaching Model. Through a structured training seminar for clergy and lay leaders, this thesis demonstrates how culturally sensitive and theologically informed homiletic innovation can empower the Church to dismantle IPV, foster hope and healing for survivors, and cultivate a community where silence no longer of 1857-1859 in New York. Subsequently, it demonstrates that the Pyongyang revival possessed limitations due to its historical context, and that is how the prayer revival of 1857-1859 can be used to revitalize the prayer practices of the Korean-American church. The two revivals shared many things in common: both of them occurred in the midst of crisis and helped people to overcome the difficulties, prayer played a major role, and they were influenced by other global revivals and also influenced them. However, significant differences occurred between them. The prayer revival was solemn, led by lay leadership, and had strong emphasis on the conversion of the lost. Understanding these views can help Chinese pastors to preach God's word effectively and to educate their congregations about the significance of expository preaching in pulpit ministry.  This study employed a qualitative design, using semi-structured interviews. The review of literature and analysis of the eight interviews focused on three key areas of preaching that revealed the views of the lay leaders on what constituted biblical preaching. These areas of focus were: the views of lay leaders on preaching in light of their various church experiences in different countries, the views of lay leaders on preaching in relation to other contexts of teaching the Bible in the church, and the views of lay leaders on expository preaching. This study revealed that male and female of Chinese lay leaders share similar views of preaching. In response to the problem the researcher studied themes of leadership in the Scripture and in relevant contemporary literature.  He then investigfated these themes in operation by interviewing twelve present or former ministry leaders and the leadership boards at five large Hmong churches in the United States.  From this study the researcher identified seven factiors associated with effective leadership among the Hmong church. The first two chapters draw an introductory portrait of ministry needs. The next chapter describes six phases of methodology necessary to achieve this goal, followed by a theologically constructed foundation in chapter four. The next two chapters use examples of church conflict found in the New Testament and describe the findings from survey analysis.
