I began the project by exploring internal demographics of Burra Baptist to discover trends in membership assimilation. I used the church roll book as a principal source for historical information and a survey for members who joined the church in the last ten years. I then explored existing models of church membership assimilation to determine best practices for Burra Baptist. I explored \r\nliterature in church assimilation and produced an annotated bibliography. I then created an executive summary of best practices. The next step of the project was to develop a church membership assimilation strategy for Burra Baptist. To do this, I recruited and trained a strategy planning team. We met for  four sessions to review the prepared information and then to create a new member assimilation strategy. The instrument was developed in consultation with a committee of recently admitted members, and pilot tested with a group of prospective members and with a group of recently admitted members. The envisioned instrument and its administration is not, of course, an end in itself but part of a large process of education which it is intended to serve. It is not, however, the purpose of the project to specify or delineate such an educational process: the forms and contents of such a process may be many and the possible uses of the instrument manifold. Nonetheless, certain suggestions as to both the use and the limitations of the instrument have been included in this study. This study was done within the content of the United Church of Christ. By staying within the context of the denomination, the number of variables was reduced. However, the contribution of this study is not limited to the United Church of Christ, and the instrument which it produced is adaptable. To accomplish this goal, I collected information about the membership and involvement level of new church members including LifeGroup attendance, DGroup attendance, involvement in serving, and a general survey of their familiarity with each of these as well as the church's core doctrinal beliefs. I selected three churches that assimilate new members well and researched their processes. I also created an annotated bibliography of relevant resources to guide this project. From the research, I identified and organized best practices. I also developed a strategic planning team to assist in discerning weaknesses in the church’s current process and needed improvements based on the research from other churches. The strategic planning team identified areas for improvement and created an assimilation strategy. The project was motivated by a desire to develop and deploy a diverse and well-equipped team of leaders to serve Crossings’s rapidly growing number of guests and prospective members. I completed the project by meeting three primary objectives. The first was to research the field of local church assimilation to identify prospective member assimilation skills. The second was to develop a curriculum to equip selected Crossings leaders with these skills. The third and final objective was to equip these leaders through the delivery of this prepared curriculum. During the implementation of the project, I utilized multiple assessment tools to validate the completion of these objectives, including an annotated \r\nbibliography, an assimilation skills list, several expert evaluators utilizing prepared rubrics, and pre- and post-assessments for participants. Christianity surged in the area unprecedentedly, following various miracles and healings. As persecution increased, the church grew, and the reason was the relentless prayer and faithfulness of the children of God. This is an encouraging example to all the suffering Christians in India and throughout the globe. In the face of severe persecution and other internal and external challenges facing the church in Arunachal Pradesh, it is absolutely vital that pastors, leaders and believers in churches be strengthened and rooted in the Word of God, effectively to bring growth in order to have biblically sound congregations. The series of Inductive Bible Study will empower Christians to withstand these challenges with the power of the Holy Spirit.A workshop “How to Study the Bible Effectively” was conducted in the Pasighat of East Siang District, A.P. The study facilitated learning tools to interpret the Bible inductively, to explore means to conduct an in-depth study especially in mission fields where literary resources are not readily available. The purpose of this study was to develop and sharpen the theological understanding for enrichment in biblical studies and to provide opportunity for ministry enhancement to pastors, evangelists and lay leaders in the SAF Mt Carmel Prayer Center, Pasighat, East Siang district. Peter I"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["In response to the migration of Hong Kong people to Canada in recent years, this project attempted to build up a biblical theology of hospitality from the perspective of discipleship. The theology of exile was also engaged to shed insight on hospitality. The driving question for this project was: How could the Hong Kong background Cantonese-speaking churches in Canada embrace a new wave of Hong Kong diaspora  through practicing hospitality as a journey of discipleship?This project interviewed 21 Hong Kong background Cantonese-speaking churches in Canada to draw lessons from their experience in embracing the Hong Kong wave during the period between September 2021 and May 2022. Based on the biblical exposition, a framework of “B.O.N.J.O.U.R.” (i.e., boundary, orienting our hearts and minds, nurturing a lifelong habit, juncture, open, understanding, and reframing) in conjunction with the elements of the discipleship base of the writer’s church (i.e., Word, prayer, worship and stewardship of time, finance and talents) was proposed as a criteria for evaluating our mindset and practices in embracing the migration wave. The project director conducted an internal assessment of the congregation of Stone Ridge Baptist Church including new members, regular attenders, and guests and identified assimilation deficiencies among the congregation of Stone Ridge Baptist Church. The project director researched three churches that possess effective assimilation strategies to identify best practices of assimilation. The project director recruited a strategy planning team, which consisted of seven members that assisted him in the development of an assimilation strategy using the assimilation deficiencies discovered and the best practices of assimilation identified. He presented the completed assimilation strategy to the leadership team of Stone Ridge Baptist Church for approval.
